What is on file for my candidate? A file on every member of Congress, governor and 2026 nominee: who funds them, the decisions on their desk, and the sources.
Jon Ossoff
Democrat, running for U.S. Senate. Now U.S. Senate GA.
Subject: Jon Ossoff, Democratic U.S. Senator from Georgia, seeking a second term in 2026 Compiled: October 25, 2026 for the On Point Politics watchdog database, onpointpolitics.us Data cutoff: September 30, 2026 FEC quarterly figures as reported October 15, 2026. Next scheduled data drop: FEC pre general report covering through October 14, 2026, then the post general report due December 3, 2026.
Bottom line up front
Ossoff is the top raising Senate candidate in the country and leads Republican Mike Collins in public polling. He raised $33 million from July through September 2026 and had $26 million in cash, against Collins's $2.7 million and just over $1.1 million, per the Georgia Recorder on October 15, 2026, georgiarecorder.com. An AJC and UGA poll fielded October 7 to 15 had Ossoff 48 and Collins 40, per Fox 5 Atlanta, fox5atlanta.com.
Interests that combine money and a decision:
- Small donors. About 760,000 third quarter donations, nearly 97 percent under $100. They want lower costs, which he frames as repealing tariffs, ending the Iran war and reversing Medicaid cuts.
- Party and leadership. Senate Majority PAC reserved $20 million for him in May, he has passed more than $3.6 million to other Democrats, and SMP linked groups are spending against Collins.
- Enforcement and disclosure. He keeps his wealth in a blind trust and attacks Collins's crypto trading. He sits on Senate Rules and Administration, which handles election law and FEC nominations.
Committee structure and treasurer
The roster lists FEC candidate IDs S8GA00180 for Senate and H8GA06195 from his 2017 House run. The principal committee name and ID and the treasurer were not verified because fec.gov is blocked. Ellen Foster is the campaign manager. Committee assignments per the roster: Appropriations, Rules and Administration, and the Select Committee on Intelligence.
Scale. Legis1 reported $60.4 million raised and $32.5 million to $33 million in cash as of June 16, 2026, legis1.com. The Georgia Recorder reported $42 million in the second quarter and $33 million in the third. These are not summed here because the June figure overlaps the second quarter.
Small donors
Documented. Nearly 97 percent of third quarter donations were under $100 and the average was $46, per the Georgia Recorder. Legis1 reported 53 percent of receipts from gifts of $200 or less as of mid June and an average of $47.31 across the campaign.
Collins's campaign says Ossoff relies on out of state donors, per Fox 5 Atlanta, which also reported Ossoff held fundraisers in Los Angeles the week of October 19. No in state share was found in sources read.
Inference: His donor base is too broad for any single donor to hold leverage. The leverage questions run through party committees and super PACs.
Party and leadership
Documented. Senate Majority PAC announced an initial $20 million TV reservation on May 18, 2026, saying the ads would tie Georgia Republicans to Trump's tariffs and Medicaid cuts, per Atlanta News First, atlantanewsfirst.com. By October 15 SMP had pulled its week 3 Georgia spending, citing his lead. Legis1 reported about $7.05 million from The Georgia Way and $3.38 million from Lower Costs Now against Collins, and $2.26 million from Lower Costs Now for Ossoff, as of October 13, legis1.com. Ballotpedia records that SMP formed The Georgia Way in November 2020, ballotpedia.org. Ossoff has moved more than $3.6 million to other Democrats, including gubernatorial nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms.
Inference: Ossoff is now a donor to the Georgia Democratic ticket as well as a recipient. His transfers matter to the governor's race, which the same AJC poll shows as a statistical tie.
Enforcement and disclosure
Documented. The AJC reported on August 24, 2026 that most of his fortune sits in a blind trust valued at $1 million to $5 million, which earned $100,001 to $1 million in 2025, ajc.com. He also holds a cash reserve mutual fund worth up to $100,000 and State of Israel bonds worth $1,001 to $15,000, gifts from family when he was a child. No trades were reported. PolitiFact rated True his claim that Collins is one of the most active crypto traders in Congress, politifact.com.
Inference: Ossoff's position on trading rules is a contrast tool in this race, and his Rules Committee seat gives it a lever in the next Congress.
Own finances and disclosure history
Multimillionaire per the AJC, with the blind trust above. No liabilities, net worth total, or business income were reported in sources read. The production company he ran before the Senate was not checked.
Enforcement and controversies
- Reid Hoffman and Epstein. At the October 13, 2026 Atlanta Press Club debate, Collins asked Ossoff to denounce Hoffman, who reportedly visited Epstein's island in 2014, and said Ossoff took $7,000 from him and benefits from a super PAC Hoffman leads, per Courthouse News, courthousenews.com. Ossoff responded by noting that Trump appears in the Epstein files and opposed their full release. Hoffman has expressed regret over the relationship and has not been publicly accused by victims. The $7,000 gift was not checked on FEC; status Contested.
- No FEC or ethics enforcement matter against Ossoff was found in sources read.
