What is on file for my candidate? A file on every member of Congress, governor and 2026 nominee: who funds them, the decisions on their desk, and the sources.
Darline Graham
Republican, running for U.S. Senate. Now U.S. Senate SC.
Subject: Darline Graham, Republican, appointed U.S. Senator from South Carolina and the 2026 Republican nominee. Her legal name per the roster is Darline Graham Nordone. She says her legal name is Darline Graham and she used Nordone only on social media. Compiled: October 25, 2026 for the On Point Politics watchdog database, onpointpolitics.us Data cutoff: September 30, 2026 for FEC filings, reported October 17 to 20, 2026. Next scheduled data drop: FEC pre-general report covering through October 14, 2026, and the post-general report due December 3, 2026.
Bottom line up front
Graham was appointed on July 13, 2026 by Gov. Henry McMaster, on Donald Trump's recommendation, two days after the death of her brother, Sen. Lindsey Graham, per TIME on July 13, 2026, time.com. She had never held elected office. She was a commissioner on the South Carolina Commission for the Blind and had worked as director of public information for the state Vocational Rehabilitation Department. She won the special GOP runoff against Rep. Ralph Norman on August 25 with about 52 percent.
She is badly outraised. She raised $2.4 million in the third quarter, $1.1 million to her campaign and $1.3 million to a campaign tied PAC, and entered October with $610,000, per the SC Daily Gazette on October 20, 2026, scdailygazette.com. Annie Andrews raised $9.4 million in the same period. Outside groups make up the difference.
Four interests combine money and a decision she would hold:
- Senate Republican leadership. SLF pledged about $5 million, and one source told the Post and Courier it could reach $10 million. The decision is Senate control.
- Lindsey Graham's donor network through Security Is Strength PAC. The super PAC that backed her brother now backs her. Its donors include the Lawrence J. Ellison Revocable Trust at $1 million, Paul Singer, and American Jobs and Security, a nonprofit long associated with Lindsey Graham.
- Tobacco. Altria Client Services gave the same PAC $250,000 and RAI Services Company $200,000. The lever is FDA tobacco policy and confirmations.
- Trump world. Trump recommended her, endorsed her and held two rallies for her. MAGA Inc. spent nearly $830,000 for her in the runoff.
Committee structure and treasurer
The campaign committee's FEC ID and treasurer were not verified. Spokesman T.W. Arrighi speaks for her. The campaign tied PAC is the Darline Graham Senate Majority Fund. The Post and Courier says it raised about $1.1 million and spent a similar amount, postandcourier.com. The Gazette gives $1.3 million. The Post and Courier also puts her campaign at $1.5 million, about half from individuals. These are stored separately. Her team says $347,000 of July fundraising went to defeating Republicans in the primary.
Security Is Strength PAC, FEC C00573733, is the main aligned super PAC.
Bloc: Senate Republican leadership
Documented. SLF pledged about $5 million, per the Post and Courier on October 9, 2026, postandcourier.com. News broke that SLF moved about $2 million from Georgia, where it had backed Mike Collins, to South Carolina. An SLF spokesperson called claims of further transfers "totally false." Majority Leader John Thune campaigned for her in Charleston on October 9. High Plains PAC, aligned with Sen. John Barrasso, also ran ads for her. Outside PACs spent $8.4 million supporting her and $3.4 million opposing her, per the Gazette.
What they want. A seat in a narrow Senate. She has said she will "work hard over the next several months to support the president."
Bloc: Lindsey Graham's network and Security Is Strength PAC
Documented. Security Is Strength PAC raised just over $4.5 million in the third quarter and paid for most of $2.1 million in positive ads for her since early September, per the Post and Courier. Much of its money is "secretly sourced" from American Jobs and Security. Paul Singer, Bill Stern, C. Dan Adams and Rom Reddy each gave hundreds of thousands. Legis1, relaying FEC data through August 5, 2026, lists the Lawrence J. Ellison Revocable Trust at $1 million, Startline LLC at $300,000, Altria Client Services at $250,000 and RAI Services at $200,000, legis1.com. Those gifts may predate her candidacy, when the PAC backed her brother. The PAC announced a $900,000 statewide campaign for her after his death. Trump reposted one of its ads on October 7.
Inference: These donors gave to Lindsey Graham's operation and are now carrying a candidate with no public record on their issues. The money buys continuity of the seat, not a known position.
Bloc: Tobacco
Documented. Altria Client Services $250,000 and RAI Services $200,000 to Security Is Strength PAC, cycle to August 5, 2026, per Legis1. Status is Secondary.
What she has said. Nothing on tobacco in sources read. That silence is a finding.
Bloc: Trump world
Documented. Trump recommended her to McMaster on Truth Social, endorsed her on July 17 and held rallies in Myrtle Beach on August 21 and Clemson on October 21, per Latin Times on October 23, 2026, latintimes.com. MAGA Inc. spent nearly $830,000 for her in the runoff, per Legis1. Sens. Tim Scott and Cynthia Lummis and Rep. Joe Wilson backed her appointment.
Positions and record
At the October 11 debate she said she co-sponsored the Ratepayer Protection Act, which passed the House 417 to 3 in September and stalled in the Senate. She opposes a data center moratorium as a national security risk. She offered no Social Security solvency plan, and Arrighi said she has no stance on the retirement age. She backs Medicaid work requirements and cites $200 million in first year rural health money for the state. She wants the Iran war to end, but not through Congress while Iran is "still dangerous," per the SC Daily Gazette on October 12, 2026, scdailygazette.com. At an August 18 runoff debate she said: "National security is not my thing, not my area of expertise."
Own finances and disclosure history
No Senate financial disclosure, net worth estimate or business interest was retrieved. Her bioguide ID is G000608.
Enforcement and controversies
- No FEC or ethics complaint against her or her committees was found.
- Name. Campaign fliers used "Darline Graham Nordone." She says her legal name is Darline Graham. The roster note records Nordone as the legal name; the two are not reconciled.
- Trump's slur. Trump used a slur about Andrews on October 5. Graham said: "That's not how I would've said it, but I think it's more about the issue here," per the SC Daily Gazette on October 7, 2026, scdailygazette.com.
