Roger Marshall
Republican, running for U.S. Senate. Now U.S. Senate KS.
Subject: Sen. Roger Marshall, Republican, Kansas, seeking a second Senate term in 2026 against Democrat Adam Hamilton Compiled: October 25, 2026 for the On Point Politics watchdog database, onpointpolitics.us Data cutoff: FEC data through September 30, 2026 as compiled by VoteLog, independent expenditures through October 22, 2026. Next scheduled data drop: FEC 48 hour reports through Election Day and the post-general report due December 3, 2026.
Bottom line up front
Marshall is a physician turned congressman who sits on the Agriculture, Finance, HELP and Budget committees. His own campaign is being outraised by a first time candidate, so the national Republican super PAC network carries his race. VoteLog shows his campaign at $4,809,692 raised, $5,592,623 spent and $922,088 cash through September 30, 2026, against Hamilton's $13,533,711 raised, votelog.org. Time, relaying AdImpact, says nearly ten times as much ad money was reserved for Marshall as for Hamilton as of October 2, time.com.
Interests with money and a live decision:
- Party and leadership. Senate Leadership Fund leads outside spending for him at $6,286,982 and, per Time, reserved $8.2 million for Kansas. SLF's cycle funders include Elon Musk at $168 million and Miriam Adelson at $30 million.
- Koch and Club for Growth network. AFP Action at $2,598,895 and Club for Growth Action at $2,456,460 back him. Their top cycle funders are Koch Inc. at $30 million and Jeff Yass at $16.5 million. The ask is tax and regulatory policy that runs through Finance and Budget, where he sits.
- Agriculture. The Kansas Farm Bureau endorses him but the Kansas Livestock Association declined this cycle after the beef import tariff waiver. The farm bill passed his committee in September 2026.
Committee structure and treasurer
The roster lists Senate candidate ID S0KS00315 and an earlier House ID H6KS01179. The principal committee name, committee ID, leadership PAC and treasurer were not verified in this pass. Chief of staff Brent Robertson and spokeswoman Payton Fuller speak for him. The Kansas Reflector reported $4.7 million in his reelection account in March 2026, kansasreflector.com. That is higher than the VoteLog cash figure for September 30 and suggests the VoteLog raised total may cover only part of the cycle, so it is stored as Secondary.
Party and leadership
Documented. The NRSC gave $62,000 on August 27, 2025, per VoteLog. VoteLog counts PAC receipts of $1,772,925 and transfers of $771,561. The Kansas Reflector reported that SLF redirected $8 million from North Carolina to Kansas, kansasreflector.com. One Nation gave SLF $132,907,000 this cycle.
Inference: His race depends on SLF's allocation choices more than on his own donors. That gives leadership leverage over his votes on the floor and in Finance.
Ideological groups and megadonors
Documented. Main Street Fund at $4,501,724, AFP Action, Club for Growth Action and Win It Back PAC at $1,539,253 count as benefiting him. Koch Inc. gave AFP Action $30,000,000 and Stand Together Inc. $26,000,000 across all races. Jeff Yass gave Club for Growth Action $16,500,000 and Restoration of America PAC $15,000,000. These are cycle wide figures and are not attributed to Kansas.
What they want. Tax cuts and reconciliation are in the Finance and Budget committees he sits on. He supported the 2025 tax law that cut estate taxes for many large landowners, kcur.org.
Inference: The Finance seat is the asset these donors value. No sourced statement links a gift to a specific vote.
Sugar and agriculture
Documented. KLA CEO Matt Teagarden said Marshall's position has been a tough spot on a few things. Marshall said at an August town hall that he was as frustrated as anybody over beef imports. He praised Senate committee passage of a five year farm bill as five years of certainty. He scolded federal agents for not coordinating with local police on September ICE raids that slowed meatpacking. Time reports 104 arrests in southwestern Kansas.
Inference: Farmers are the swing bloc. His Ag seat and the farm bill are his strongest asset with them, and tariffs and diesel prices are the weakest.
Own finances and disclosure history
Quiver Quantitative, reading his annual disclosure on September 15, 2025, lists a 1 percent interest in Farmers Enterprises, Inc. valued up to $5,000,000, a subscription in Ionics Life Sciences and index funds. It estimated his net worth at $6.0 million, quiverquant.com. Raw Story put it between $3 million and $9.8 million without naming its source, and cites disclosures showing about $780,000 in 2015 earnings from his practice and hospital, rawstory.com. KCUR reports his only Kansas home is a cabin worth under $125,000, kcur.org. Older trades listed run from 2017 to 2019.
Enforcement and controversies
- Patient lawsuits. Raw Story, relaying an analysis of Kansas court records, reports that Marshall, his practice and the Great Bend hospital he co-founded sued more than 700 patients, with at least 81 arrests for missed court dates. Spokeswoman Payton Fuller said he spent decades caring for patients regardless of ability to pay, that judges issue warrants, and that the hospital provided millions in uncompensated care, rawstory.com. He denied wrongdoing at the final debate.
- Attack ad image. Tall Oaks camp demanded he pull an ad using its chapel photo without permission. Robertson said the image was believed to be stock and had been fixed, kansasreflector.com.
- Epstein records vote. Hamilton's campaign says Marshall voted in September 2025 to block a measure to release unclassified Epstein records. Marshall's response was not found; the vote record was not checked.
- No FEC or Senate Ethics matter was found in sources read.
