Each poll's weight is its sample size, voter screen, pollster grade and age, with a 15.8 day half life, and those weights are the kernel of a robust LOWESS fit: a local line read at the day itself, with three bisquare passes that weigh down any poll far from the rest. No single poll can carry more than 15 percent. Gold Standard pollsters, On Point Polling, Big Data Poll, The Honest Poll, Emerson, Cygnal, Quantus Insights, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, carry the top grade. Rasmussen Reports and ActiVote are not counted. Trafalgar and InsiderAdvantage are marked Lean R, and Democratic firms such as Public Policy Polling, Change Research, Global Strategy Group, GBAO, Data for Progress, GQR and Civiqs are marked Lean D. The tables show every poll as published; the average counts a lean firm's poll moved the other way by its measured lean against other polls of the same races, and the chart shows that move as a hollow dot for the poll as published joined to the filled dot the average counts: Trafalgar 4.0 points right over 42 polls, InsiderAdvantage 4.2 points right over 53 polls, Change Research 2.5 points left over 11 polls, Global Strategy Group 1.1 points left over 8 polls, GBAO 1.7 points left over 9 polls, Data for Progress 0.5 points left over 16 polls, Hart Research 1.3 points left over 2 polls, Lake Research Partners 1.3 points left over 1 polls, Civiqs 0.5 points left over 3 polls, Navigator Research 0.7 points left over 1 polls, Z to A Research 0.1 points left over 4 polls, MDW Communications 1.3 points left over 3 polls, Republican internals 3.7 points right over 397 polls, Democratic internals 1.6 points left over 100 polls. A firm whose polls do not run toward its side is not moved.
